Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager/Ops Team (i.e. vacation (Kronos), temporary workers, overtime work). Maintain a daily roster.
Provides production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting.
Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring EHS ,5S, and PPE policies and standards are followed.
Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets to YIOS standards.
Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel.
Monitors quality of product throughout the production process.
Ensures job training and daily job rotations are in place and employees are labeling totes properly.
Participates in Pre-Shift meetings and review quality expectations.
Daily review of First Piece and PIMS sheet process for accuracy.
Review the scrap tag process and make sure tags are filled out correctly
Have a good understanding of the schedule priorities sheet for the day
Have knowledge of the Tool toonage process.
Monitor the Red/Green Report (Molding)
Be familiar with the Escalation process
Have the basic knowledge of RJG Molding screen
Hold team members accountable and ensure counseling are handle in a timely manner per union contract.
Understand the duties of Team Leader Role
Qualifications -
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent/some college
3-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Production.
1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Computer literacy.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
