Supervisory Capacity: Direct Reports: 20+
Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work).
Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting.
Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring HSE and 5S policies and standards are followed.
Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets.
Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report.
Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel
Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced
Monitor quality of product throughout the production process.
Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives.
Daily review of process and people to identify and implement CI opportunities.
Proper execution of union agreements with all production of appropriate disciplinary actions
Provide recommendations to the Operations Manager for capital investments to maintain and improved the quality of the production process
Participate as a regular member of the management team
Secure a quality production process that meets established standards and achieve desired product yields from the use of raw materials
Qualifications:
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Area of Study: General Studies

Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge
Minimum 3 years experience in plastic injection molding
Experience supervising within a molding department
1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
Computer literacy.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Strong team building, decision-making, leadership and people management skills.
Just in Time (JIT) environment experience, preferred. ·
Proficient organizational skills.
Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
