Job Purpose:
The responsibility of the Powder Technician is to create and deliver material to and from the machines in a timely manner. This position requires extensive use of a forklift, and familiarity with the oven locations and powder dispensing system. Other duties may be assigned or reassigned at any time.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Blend natural base material & pigment according to instruction on work order

• Monitor and maintain correct powder needed at each machine stations

• Transport powder totes from the powder room to the proper oven in a timely manner

• Safely operate a forklift.

• Organize powder room and prevent waste

• Empty hoppers.

• Keep work area clean and organized

• Correctly label and identify powder

• Assist mold runners and shipping as needed

• Keep empty Gaylord area clean and organized

• Post completed mixes daily

• Create a safe work environment

Qualifications:
Ability to read and write proficiently in English

Ability to read material documents, labels, etc.

Ability to pass forklift operator training

Ability to use hand and power tools in a save and proficient manner

Ability to communicate with utilities and coaches

Computer experience helpful

Other Requirements and Working Conditions:
Able to work in hot humid environment for extended periods of time.
Must be able to alternate stand, sit and remain stationary with intermediate walking throughout shift as needed for the type of material being moved.
Frequently lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts more than 50 pounds with assistance and must be able to transport these

up to 20 feet.
Frequently positions self to maneuver around the materials when moving.
Must be able to operate tools and write legibility.
Typical manufacturing environment, to include: Ovens, torches, rotating tools, forklifts, and other moving machinery.
