Job Description:

Exciting opportunity to join the site R&D team in Lebanon, TN in Quality & Food Safety function as a Receiving Lab Operator. The role is ensuring inbound materials are suitable for use. Performs reception activities including inspection, quality control, analytic operations, and material reception operations.

Shift:

6:00 am to 6:30 pm; 6:00 pm to 6:30 am- depending on team rotation

12 hour rotating shift, 4 days per week.

Shift will rotate from days to nights/nights to days every 12 weeks.

What are we looking for?

• At least High School Diploma with previous experience in quality control/laboratory setting; continuing education in sciences preferred.


• Prior experience in food related manufacturing or related GMP environment preferred.


• Problem solving skills and systematic thinking.


• Communication and influencing skills.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Analysis of all incoming raw materials as specified in reception procedure.


• Sampling raw materials from bulk trucks, big bags, and totes (ability to lift up to 50lbs).


• Perform receiving document procedures (delivery documentations) and sign delivery documents including, if necessary, quality / quantity objections.


• Inform Q&FS/Laboratory Manager of quality deviations according to product standards and production procedures.


• Accept or decline reception of goods according to reception procedures.


• Collaborate with raw material supply coordinator on inbound receiving scheduling priority.


• Perform area-related equipment first level maintenance.


• Prepare samples and documentation for external labs.
