Job Description:

UTHealth Houston School of Public Health invites applications to fill an open rank tenure-track faculty position on the Houston Campus located in the Texas Medical Center .

The position is available and affiliated with Healthcare Management (HCM) within the Department of Management, Policy and Community Health (MPACH) with the following emphases:


  • Health Care Management, Strategy, Operations
  • Organizational Theory, Behavior
  • Advanced Research Methods in Management Sciences

Position Key Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:


  • Developing a funded research program and disseminating findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Teaching hybrid classes in health care management and advising Masters and Doctoral students (including service on doctoral student committees)
  • Contributing civic service to the school, profession, and communities.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Doctoral degree in: Health Care Management/Health Care Administration/ Management/Human Resources/Organizational Psychology/Industrial Psychology/ or related field.

Preference will be shown to applicants who:


  • Demonstrate ability to publish in peer-reviewed management journals and other peer-reviewed journals related to the field.
  • Have an emerging or established research program with evidence of extramural funding (or its potential).
  • Can offer advanced coursework and advising to our doctoral program in health care management.
  • Contribute to professional and community service.
