Position Title : Supply Chain Administrator

Reports To : Planning Supervisor

Position Summary :

Hunt Valve Company has been manufacturing shipboard valves for naval customers for decades. The company, now part of Fairbanks Morse Defense, is rapidly growing and in need of a Supply Chain Admin for the scheduling department. This position would directly support the scheduling and operations team in day-to-day activities to ensure work progresses on schedule and with high quality. Hunt offers a unique working environment that allows a hands-on individual to develop and grow as the company expands its footprint and maintains high performance as a trusted defense contractor.

Essential Job Functions :

1. RFQ, Request for Quotation, on purchasing items
2. Placement of PO's, Purchase Orders
3. Vendor maintenance, vendor communication and order updates, as well as daily ERP status adjustments
4. Processes non-conforming material to return to suppliers
5. Assist with new vendor onboarding and development of relationships with new vendors
6. Work with planning and operations to support manufacturing schedules
7. Work with Program management to support critical needs of the customer
8. Reviews material availability and creates work orders

1. Excellent analytical and organization skills.
2. Great communication skills.
3. Works well in a fast-paced environment with minimal day-to-day supervision
4. Working experience in an ERP system, preferably Infor Visual
5. Highly skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

EDUCATION: College degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of purchasing or planning experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
