ROLE PURPOSE: The Associate R&D Engineer is a critical member of a cross-functional team bringing dietary supplement product innovation to market. This role delivers end-to-end support for all packaging components in use at New Chapter and external manufacturers from ideation to commercialization.

MAJOR ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Support product innovation by engaging with the innovation team to bring new product concepts to market utilizing established or new packaging components.

  • Collaborate with the commercial partners to evaluate sustainability changes that can be brought to market.

  • Partner with operations engineers to evaluate runnability of new product concepts in established or new packaging components.

  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations, vendors, and contract manufacturers to evaluate packaging concepts.

  • Support base business issues to maintain brand excellence in market.

  • Deliver new packaging innovation to the business with a focus on sustainability and consumer delight.

  • 10% travel expected

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and CREDENTIALS:


  • BS/MS in engineering discipline or packaging science

  • Basic understanding in: Package Development, Packaging Filling, Primary & Secondary packaging components, Project Management, GMP manufacturing

JOB LOCATION: Within travel distance of Brattleboro, Vermont, in a hybrid work environment and some moderate travel.
