Job Description:

The Product Quality Technician verifies that manufactured and repaired articles meet established requirements, including review and approval of First Article Inspection Reports and all associated documentation.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 



  • Performs various inspections required for manufactured, Repair Station and Operator articles (i.e., receiving, in-process, first article and final).



  • Responsible for reviewing and approving First Article Inspection Reports.

  • Handles and communicates deviations/non-conformances of articles.

  • Operates Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for new and manufactured articles, and used and repaired articles as needed.

  • Maintains all required records as required by company procedures or FAA regulations.

  • Performance of FAA safety sensitive inspection functions may be required.

  • Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values.

  • Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - 



  • High school diploma or equivalent required, further education or advance instruction relative to technical field is desirable.

  • Proficient operating a CMM (5 years’ experience preferred).

  • 3 years’ experience working with AS9100/AS9110 Quality Management Systems or 3 years’ ASQ Certified Quality Inspector.

  • Ability to locate, read, and follow technical data appropriate for the assigned task.

  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools appropriate to the assigned tasks.

  • Reliable and flexible in regards to work priority, scope or schedule.

  • Willing to learn how to operate a forklift and be available as needed.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn and effectively utilize other software applications.

  • Must have a track-record of being proactive and have a demonstrated history of successfully working under minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas, concepts, and proposals to a wide range of audiences at all levels.

  • Ability to handle multiple task simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Maintain a good working relationship with all team members, stakeholders and customers.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
