Job Description:

The VP of Technology is a member of the Archbright Leadership Team and directs strategic planning and operationalizing of the organization’s digital leadership/transformation initiatives. This includes the oversight of Operational IT, Software Development, Data Strategy, and System Analyst teams. The VP of Technology is accountable for Technology strategy, budget, and team performance, as well as technology development, implementation, and support of all applications and platforms, data integrations, and security—ensuring the needs of the company, teams, and individuals are met.

Archbright is based in Seattle, WA and many of our employees reside in the Pacific Northwest.  This role is primarily remote with travel to Seattle approximately once per month to attend Archbright conferences and other team meetings.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Continuously monitor and evaluate industry trends to recommend emerging technologies and strategies to drive increased efficiency and competitiveness.

  • Align quarterly goals with long-term strategic plans.

  • Oversee the development, customization, and integration of system applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with quality, security, and regulatory processes and procedures.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key technology vendors and partners for favorable contractual arrangements.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with department leaders to ensure business needs are met and system analyst support is seamless.

  • Oversee the project management/coordination of all technology projects to maintain proactive communications about progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

  • Develop, support, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and guidelines, including SOC2.

  • Closely manage the fiscal technology budget.

Essential qualifications for the role:


  • Demonstrated proficiency in areas of leadership, team effectiveness, and business skills.

  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and applications development.

  • Experience leading digital transformations and designing modern technology delivery capabilities, including Cloud (MS Azure preferred), Dev/Ops, continuous development/deployment, agile methodologies, and data analytics/business intelligence.

  • Strong skills to influence technical and business team to gain consensus on critical decisions.

  • Successful project management leader with achievements building best practices and methodologies for project success.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly manage an IT Manager, Software Development Supervisor, and a team of system analysts (3).

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field preferred (or an additional 5-10 years in the field)

  • 10+ years of proven experience leading technology teams

Technical Skills: In addition to above, must have excellent MS Office Suite experience, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to computer monitors and shared workspaces, if/when required to work from an office shared office space.

The expected hiring range including 20-40% variable pay, for this position is $178,322-$217,949, and the complete salary range is $160,650-$235,620.  Archbright Keystone is our Total Rewards program for our most valuable assets - our people.
