Position Summary


Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, located in Milwaukee is seeking a motivated individual to serve in the role of Aerials Department Manager. This individual will be responsible for the overall operations and management for aerial equipment within the Branch. They will coordinates the sales, service and dispatching of aerial equipment and components. This is a full-time, exempt position with comprehensive benefits in a casual office environment.   


Essential Functions



  • Supervises subordinate employees by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.

  • Work directly with customers, engaging, selling and communicating with the client on a daily basis.

  • Define goals for the department and then ensures they are met.

  • Coordinate the dispatch of aerial equipment to ensure activities align with job schedules.

  • Manage running costs and overheads.

  • Inventory management.

  • Coordinate with the Sales Department for the rental and sales of aerial equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills and Experience Requirements



  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to work 45 hours a week and overtime as needed.

  • Able to sit for long periods.

  • Able to use phone, computer and other office equipment.

  • Experienced in trucking and dispatch functions is a plus.

  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with NexGen fleet management software is a plus.
