Position:  Accounts Payable Specialist

Priorities:


  • Review and input invoices and check requests timely and accurately

  • Prepare and process payments

  • Ensure accuracy of general ledger coding

  • Correspond with vendors as needed to resolve pending payment issues

The pay range is $20 - $22 per hour.  Starting pay rate will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable agreement. Dependent on the length of service, hours worked, and applicable agreements, benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and optional disability insurance, sick pay of 2.66 hours for every 80 hours worked, Vacation pay of 3.08 hours for every 80 hours worked, paid holidays (6 days annually), three personal days (prorated based on start date), bereavement pay and retirement benefits.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): The following are required to enable job holders to perform the essential functions of the job.


  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

2-4 years related work experience

Technology Skills:


  • Experience with an ERP system required, experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP strongly preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Competent with Microsoft Teams.

  • Experience using Accounts Payable systems, such as OCR and workflow systems, strongly preferred.
