Job Description:

This senior leadership role requires exceptional leadership skills, combined with a successful track record in strategic planning and execution required to drive performance objectives. Additional responsibilities include:

Market Share:


  • Achieve and maintain lead to opportunity to close metrics in line with Business Plan objectives.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, CAT personnel and internal stakeholders.

Customer Needs:


  • Responsible for managing the overall business unit Customer Satisfaction as measured by customer loyalty goals (Net Loyalty Score-NLS) for Rental Performance measured by The Daniels Group to ensure that established goals are met.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the management of the top (10) customers for N C Power Systems.

  • A close working relationship is established with Caterpillar and other major suppliers.

  • Establish and drive department and organization tools, methods, and metrics to achieve feedback process improvements. Engage and align the Sales and Rental Departments in operational issues resolution and provide required support.

Employee Satisfaction:


  • Develop effective working relationships with branch personnel at all locations.

  • Maintain employee turnover goals in the Sales and Rental Departments.

  • Ability to travel to Alaska, Montana and North Dakota is required at a minimum of three times a year.

  • Achieve employee satisfaction goals established by our annual Employee Opinion Survey process.

  • Manage key safety metrics against established goals in all regions for the Sales and Rental Departments to include total recordable time frequency rate.

  • Manage the sales and rental training programs in accordance with business needs, technical skill development and regulatory requirements.

Direct and manage Sales and Rental Department operations in accordance with company safety policies and procedures to ensure that personnel perform work assignments safely and in compliance with state and federal laws. 

Business Plan:


  • Responsible for developing the budgets for all branch Sales and Rental departments within N C Power Systems.

  • Responsible for achieving all Critical Success Factor goals and objectives at the branch locations.

  • Achieve budgeted goals for all Sales and Rental departments. Profitably grow the Sales and Rental departments to the targets set each year.

Personal Attributes, Experience, and Education:


  • Ability to establish credibility with employees, vendors, and customers. Able to represent the company with a high degree of professionalism while practicing the Company Values.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field plus a minimum of 10 years in related industry experience (construction, mining, operational services or related construction industry) is necessary. Caterpillar experience is preferred.

  • Establish and maintain a high level of communication with other members of the executive team and other managers in the company.
