Northampton Family Medicine
Northampton Family Medicine is an award-winning family practice housed in Cooley Dickinson's multispecialty medical facility located at 22 Atwood Drive, Suite 201 in Northampton, MA. As a Family Medicine office, we offer comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, newborn through adult.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Clinical Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and improvement of all clinical operations and clinical staff within the practice. Our practice is open Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Plan and oversee nursing and medical assistant activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
Provide support to clinicians and provide leadership for clinical problem solving.
In collaboration with the Practice Manager, supervise and coordinate staff regarding personnel issues, evaluations, scheduling, orientation, training, and staff development. Participate in performance evaluations, disciplinary action, hiring, termination, and similar actions. Resolve grievances within scope of authority and oversee other personnel issues. Investigate and resolve complaints and problems that have been referred to the incumbent.
Manage the flow of the clinic to ensure compliance, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
Contribute to improving quality & consistency of patient care & experience.
Provide leadership in clinical problem solving and give professional advice from a clinical perspective.
Serve as a liaison between multiple clinical and non-clinical (internal and external) stakeholders.
Assist the Practice Manager in developing and implementing strategy, operational plans, and leading projects and initiatives.
Routinely assist in patient care.
Maintain established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality improvement program, safety, infection control, compliance, and environmental standards.
Maintain professional growth and development through attendance at seminars, workshops, conferences and in-services, professional affiliations, or journals to stay abreast of current trends in field of expertise.
Meet annual competency and retraining requirements.
Attend meetings as required.
Perform other functions/duties as requested.
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program or accredited Registered Nursing program required
Current Massachusetts licensure as an LPN or RN required
One (1) to three (3) years of experience as an LPN or RN required; physician office experience preferred
Demonstrated strong clinical, interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required
Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or AHA approved organization required
Family Medicine/Primary Care Nursing experience preferred
