About this opportunity:

Asphalt & Industrial Products Supply Optimization Team is seeking a Supply Balance Advisor to optimize and manage asphalt inventory in the Midwest/Ohio area. The main objective of this role is building and facilitating plans to position the right products, in the right place, at the right time, driving value across Cenovus' continually expanding network. Delivering the plan provides insight into risks and opportunities as material flows throughout the network. Best candidate is one who is operational and analytically minded, with the ability to change quickly to the environment, and drive value through forward thinking and taking the initiative.



Responsibilities:


  • Optimize and drive value through supply planning activities around Lima Refinery, Toledo Refinery, and Terminals for Asphalt and Industrial products

  • Interact with various partners in marketing, logistics, accounting, and manufacturing, while maintaining relationships with supply partners

  • Integrate facilities and partners into the planning process

  • Maintain an overall network view of inventory positions and ensure they meet forecasted sales

  • Support manufacturing production plans to align with supply and marketing requirements

  • Reconcile inventory position and analysis

  • Support other Advisors in the Supply Optimization team in their orbits, while seeking alignment and synergies


Deliverables

  • Build, maintain and communicate supply plan across all partner groups

  • Run operation/planning meetings with key internal and external partners to administer and communicate plan

  • Prepare forward outlook and forecasting on inventory positions

  • Prepare business unit report material

  • Provide monthly nominations to Manufacturing and Logistics to execute on supply plan

  • Report on 3rd party contract execution

  • Provide mid-month estimates and submit volume accruals

  • Create and manage inventory and supply dashboards

  • Maintain systems inventory reconciliation


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or equivalent

  • SCMP certification and/or Experience or previous roles in scheduling/logistics is an asset

  • Knowledge of supply chain activities, and interactions between key partners is an asset

  • 1-3 years of industry experience
