Job Description:

Who we are looking for

State Street seeks to recruit a training and communication specialist responsible for the identifying, designing, and developing training material and communications to support business needs. This team will work with various teams in Global Cyber Security, Global Technology Services, and State Street Corporation training teams. This position requires analytic skills, critical thinking, strong written and verbal communication skills, creativity, small team engagements skills, and graphic design skills. Join us in evolving our GCS Education and Communication team capabilities to shape a GCS training environment within State Street.

What you will be responsible for

As GCS Acceleration Content Development


  • Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses

  • Translate requirements into trainings that develop employees

  • Build annual training program and prepare training plans

  • Develop or oversee the production of handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals

  • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results

  • Deliver training courses

  • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior

  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes

  • Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in employee development

  • Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting

  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles

  • Proven ability to master the full training cycle

  • Adequate knowledge of learning management software

  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques

  • Familiarity with talent management and succession planning

  • Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI

  • Sound decision making and organizational skills

  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences

  • Proficiency in MS Office and in database software

  • BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field


Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors in education, training, marketing or similar field of study.
    3+ years of experience with training and education programs and efforts for a company of 10,000+

  • 3+ years of experience in training product design and development

  • 2+ years of experience in education and training design cycles

  • 4+ years of experience in Microsoft products and services

Salary Range:
$120,000 - $202,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
