ECS is seeking a Network Engineer to work in our Stafford / Quantico, VA office.
ECS has an immediate opening for a TS cleared Network Engineer to join our team supporting the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) onsite in Quantico and at our Stafford, VA office. We provide application and technical support to a worldwide customer base, Monday through Friday (excluding all Federal holidays). As our support requires our team to be on-site from our office in Stafford, VA, we focus on a collaborative approach, making it an ideal environment to learn and develop a broad range of skills.
Install, configure, maintain, and update LAN
Implement, manage, and monitor Cisco ASA firewalls
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues and outages
Document networking configurations, diagrams, and rack layouts.
Evaluate network performance and make appropriate recommendations
Examine network vulnerabilities and determine actions to mitigate them
Articulate network concepts, issues, and recommendations to Stakeholders
Provide off-hours support as needed for networking device upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities
Recommend, schedule, and/or implement repairs within the network environment
Schedule and perform backups on all network components
Ensure network components maintain compliance with NIST security requirements
Develop network documentation such as diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Provide network support to the CODIS Helpdesk
Provide System Engineers with support tasks as needed
Active Top-Secret clearance
Comprehend networking concepts like routing (Static & Dynamic), VLANs, Switch-Router Configuration, AAA services, virtual networking, etc.
Direct experience with Cisco ASA firewalls including configurations, implementing changes, and monitoring
Experience administering, configuring, hardening, and maintaining Cisco networking devices
Experience documenting network and rack diagrams
IPSEC VPN tunnel management
Security scanning and remediation of vulnerabilities
Maximize network security by monitoring patching processes and improving as necessary
Port security management
Manage SSL/TLS Certificates
Interact directly with customers for troubleshooting of certificate and key related issues
Perform and interpret Wireshark captures
Bachelor's Degree, preferred
Working knowledge of Active Directory, encryption, IPSec tunneling, DNS, and DHCP
Familiarity with Splunk
IPSEC VPN tunnel management
