We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical and engineering support for current and future DISA information technologies, tools, and services. You will work closely with other agencies and collaborate across various teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that enhance the organization's security posture and IT infrastructure.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Provide technical and engineering support in the areas of current and future DISA information technologies, including advanced networks, cloud infrastructure, data services, data management, artificial intelligence, cyber defense, quantum computing, and quantum resistant cryptography.
Conduct technology research, analysis, and systems engineering activities to support DISA's technology modernization initiatives.
Develop new architectures, review, and assess emerging technologies, and create technology migration strategies.
Align DISA systems with DoD and MilDep systems to ensure seamless integration and interoperability.
Identify and propose uses of new technologies, as well as potential leverage points, where DISA can help shape and/or influence the focus, direction, and results of these efforts.
Provide technical support for DISA's integration with commercial cloud and related service providers.
Work closely with other agencies to share knowledge and expertise, and to collaborate on cross-agency initiatives.
Education & Experience
Extensive knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment (CI/CD/CD).
Strong expertise in cloud-based architectures and applications, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proficient in artificial intelligence, cyber defense, quantum computing, and quantum resistant cryptography.
Ability to evaluate requirements, perform research, and present findings in the form of briefings, presentations, white papers, and reports.
Ability to conduct research on advanced technical topics and provide vision and strategy documents that can guide the agency forward.
Expertise in developing IS security strategies on technology development, integration, and deployment.
Hands-on experience with engineering large-scale systems and solutions in a large enterprise environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various teams and agencies.
Self-starter who takes initiative to drive projects forward and can also work independently and as part of a team.
DoD 8570 IAT Level III
DoD Interim Secret / Final Secret clearance is required
