Associate Manager, Learning & Development



Position Spotlight:

In this role, you will be based in our Americas head office in Lone Tree, CO. Although this role is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office 2 days per week minimum, with 3 days per week working from home, the facilitation schedule of this team will dictate in office requirements each week.


Your success in this role is measured by your ability to demonstrate leadership, build relationships, and inspire others to follow through coaching and developing others. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including Quality Assurance, Information & Implementation, Customer Experience, and Insurance Services to coach and develop others with a dedicated focus on the evolution of Cochlear's onboarding experiences.



Key Responsibilities



  • Responsible for the operational excellence of the Learning & Development Specialist's in their execution of the new hire onboarding experience

  • Using learning industry best practices, inspires the incorporation of various learning approaches into the onboarding experience including simulations, case studies videos, exercises and or handouts/job aids, etc. This includes working with the Learning & Development team to upgrade and sustain curricula across various business units and expand to meet the onboarding needs of areas of the business not yet supported
    Key Requirements

  • Supports improvements to existing learning methods and techniques in evaluating materials and methods of delivery of onboarding programs. This includes working with team members to establish and maintain a curriculum review process with business partners for department-specific program content

  • Day-to-day management and supervision of the Learning & Development Specialists who are responsible for executing new hire onboarding that meets the service standards of the Customer Service teams




Key Requirements



To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities in your application and at interview:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Combination of 4+ years' learning design, facilitation, or people management experience. Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning theory is require

  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, build relationships and inspire others to follow through coaching and developing others

  • Ability to work flexible hours to ensure delivery of training to employees working varied shifts

  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Demonstrates time management skills. Has the ability to prioritize current workload and projects and provides periodic updates to management on status varied shifts

The work environment is an office environment with hybrid opportuntities driven by scheduling needs, and represents those an individual may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Pay Range in the United States: $86,000 - $94,000 based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 7.5% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

  • Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance as well as 401(K) matching with immediate vesting, Paid Time Off, tuition reimbursement, maternity and paternity leave, Employee Stock Purchase Plan and pet insurance.
