SUMMARY



Software Engineers are responsible for creating next generation web-based and desktop applications designed to enhance user interface with tools and capabilities created by the DST.



REQUIREMENTS




  • Seven (7) years' experience with modern Web technology stack and Four (4) years of experience with web application development using JavaScript frameworks, HTML, C5S, and similar web programming technologies required.




  • Experience with Restful APls, relational databases, and cross browser compatibility troubleshooting techniques required.




  • Must possess and maintain a current DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access and ACCM read-on.






ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Responsible for creating next generation web-based and desktop applications designed to enhance user interface with tools and capabilities created by the DTS.


Designs, prototypes, develops, and implements applications using Web programming technologies to include but not limited to: JavaScript, HTML, HTMLS, and CSS.


Works with DTS Data Analysts, Data Integrators, Data Scientists, and Database Engineers to create, troubleshoot, and recommend appropriate user interface capabilities.


Works with DTS members and customers to enhance user experience and implementation requirements.


Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.


Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.


Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION



Must possess and maintain a current DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access and ACCM read-on.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS



Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.



REASONING ABILITY



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
