Worthington Steel is looking for a Price Risk intern! This intern will go through the summer internship program. During the program

interns will spend a signification portion of their time completing a business-focused project. These assignments could include generating ideas for product improvement

creating new processes

or developing guidelines for a specific role within the Company. Upon graduation

each intern will present their project to an audience that may include their managers

their peers

and executive leaders.

The interns will spend the remainder of their time receiving additional on-the-job experience

building their networks

and learning together in classes. Classes will feature topics such as business etiquette

resume writing

interviewing skills

and presenting with confidence.

In keeping with Our Philosophy

the program will also feature a community service component. Last year our interns spent a day at Goodwill Columbus.

The Price Risk Intern role will involve analyzing

reporting

and communicating various commodity positions that Worthington Steel manages. In addition

this position will take ownership of daily reconciliation for financial derivatives against Bank and/or Broker commodity trade confirmation statements. The Price Risk Intern will not only gain a high-level understanding of commodity price risk management

but additional Business Unit functions such as: pricing

supply chain

and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze

  report

  
  

  and communicate various commodity positions daily.

  
  
• Daily reconciliation of financial derivatives against Bank and/or Broker commodity trade confirmation statements
• Helps with the analysis and creation of various ad-hoc projects and/or reports.
• Gain a high-level understanding of commodity price risk management along with pricing

  supply chain

  
  

  and purchasing.

  
  

• Proficiency with Excel specifically: VLOOKUP's

  pivot tables

  
  

  macros and other

  
  
• Experience in additional Office applications such as: PowerPoint & Word
• Oracle experience preferred

  but not necessary.

  
  
• Strong analytical skills
