The Regional Marketing Manager executes Marketing strategies that align with Divisional Retail business goals. The incumbent serves as a communication channel expert that develops, manages, and executes regional, customer-directed campaigns. The Regional Marketing Manager leads Publix event marketing activities in an effort to drive sales and build brand equity. Responsibilities include:
serving as primary management contact for external partners as it pertains to sponsorship/special event marketing
providing regional input for divisional communication planning to increase brand awareness and market share
advocating marketing innovation and quality improvement and
managing special divisional marketing-related assignments
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, Business Administration or equivalent experience
at least four (4) years of combined Marketing Communications experience in developing marketing strategy briefs, planning and managing project budgets
knowledge of marketing strategies, principles, and processes
knowledge of marketing tools, techniques and best practices
knowledge of marketing consumer behaviors and trends
knowledge of marketing effectiveness, strengths, limitations, and basic relative costs of various media channels (i.e. print, digital, social, broadcast, etc.) including multicultural communications
experience analyzing, media and market research data, financial data, consumer research and database trends.
excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
budget management skills
ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
basic Microsoft Office 365
willingness to work evenings, weekends (Sat and Sun) or at home as needed and
willingness to travel with overnight stays up to one week or longer
Masters of Business Administration or equivalent experience
six (6) or more years of combined Marketing Communications experience in developing marketing strategy briefs, media planning, managing project budgets including two (2) years Field Marketing experience in a large company/retailer with budget management responsibilities
intermediate knowledge of SharePoint
knowledge of the grocery industry and competitors
knowledge of Retail and other Publix Support Departments’ operations
