Job Description:

Liquid Environmental Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician for our Houston Wastewater Plant

$70k to 80k+ possible annual earning potential. Pay based on experience and qualifications

Looking for someone able to work EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE HOURS (Plant operations run nearly all 24 hours..breakdowns require immediate response!)

Some regional overnight travel required

Location of primary plant: 10360 W US Highway 90, San Antonio, TX 78245

Essential Functions:

• Must understand the inter-workings of a machine and be able to maintain it.


• Installs, repairs and maintains or rebuilds equipment and machinery relative to the physical plant and its processes including air compressors, pumps, motors, variable frequency drives


• Follows all safety and compliance rules and regulations


• Wear and properly use safety equipment and/or PPE when required.


• Other duties as assigned


• Help provide day to day shift leadership to multiple plant operations.

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent (Required)

Employment Experience and Skills:

• Wastewater experience preferred
  


• 2 years experience in a mechanical field


• Able to work independently without supervision


• Good knowledge of equipment, machinery, and processes


• Ability to troubleshoot pump issues


• Good knowledge of the tools, equipment and terminology used in the installation, rebuilding and maintenance and repair of wastewater treatment systems


• Ability to install, rebuild and make skilled repairs to equipment and machinery relative to a wastewater treatment plant


• Skill in the operation repair of pumps, valves and related mechanical and electrical equipment


• Very strong mechanical aptitude, reliability and multitasking are a must


• Able to follow written and verbal instruction and can stay on task while working alone


• HVAC and Boiler certification a plus but not required


• The ability to be cross-trained to perform other jobs as needed


• Ability to communicate with others for safety and efficiency requirements


• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Working Environment:

• Able to work in all climates heat, cold, wet conditions


• Lifting, climbing and bending


• Must be able to work on feet most of the work day


• Must be able to work with strong odors
