Job Summary: Working under general supervision and instruction, the Equipment Maintenance Technician III performs a variety of moderately difficult assignments requiring judgment to resolve.
Shift: Training on Day shift, position is on A Shift with alternating weekends
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment in the manufacturing process.
Dismantle, adjust, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment using blueprints, manuals, sketches, or drawings/schematics.
Use test and diagnostic equipment for checkouts, applying substantial understanding, knowledge, and skill in prioritizing repairs and adjustments.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document maintenance as per program designation.
Calibrate equipment using general and special-purpose test equipment.
Communicate with equipment suppliers for repairs, maintaining data for process improvement initiatives.
May assist in developing work procedures, source and purchase equipment parts, and maintain backup information for critical production equipment software systems.
Make recommendations regarding new or replacement equipment, train employees in machinery operation, and may work overtime or be on-call.
Comply with company security policies.
Job Qualifications: Knowledge Requirements:
Proficient in English communication.
Personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and e-mail).
Broad knowledge and troubleshooting capability with various electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Use of basic and special-purpose hand tools, leveling instruments, and test/calibration equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot failures detectable at the IO level.
Forklift certification may be required.
Understanding of safety practices requirements.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Associate degree in electronics with an emphasis in servo positioning theory or equivalent discipline, preferred.
Five (5) to eight (8) years of prior work experience in electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment is required.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
