JOB SUMMARY

As a Managed Pressure Drilling Intern, you will be an integral part of our team, gaining hands-on experience in the dynamic field of drilling operations. Collaborating with seasoned professionals, you will contribute to the implementation of Managed Pressure Drilling techniques, assist in data analysis, and support the overall efficiency of drilling projects. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop technical skills and insights into the innovative practices shaping the future of drilling technology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Data Analysis and Reporting:

•    Collect and analyze real-time drilling data to monitor wellbore pressure conditions.

•    Assist in preparing daily reports on drilling parameters, trends, and any anomalies observed during MPD operations.

•    Collaborate with the team to identify potential improvements in drilling performance based on the analysis.

2.    Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance:

•    Participate in the monitoring of MPD equipment to ensure proper functioning.

•    Assist in routine maintenance tasks, including calibration of pressure control equipment and troubleshooting any technical         issues.

•    Work with experienced personnel to understand the operational requirements of MPD equipment.

3.  Well Control Simulations:

•    Engage in well control simulations and exercises to enhance understanding of MPD techniques and procedures.

•    Work with the team to analyze simulated well control scenarios and identify areas for improvement.

•    Gain practical experience in responding to well control events in a controlled environment.

4.  Documentation and Compliance:

•     Assist in maintaining accurate records of drilling parameters, equipment performance, and incident reports.

•     Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations by actively participating in audits and inspections.

•     Collaborate with the team to update standard operating procedures based on lessons learned and best practices.

5.   Project Planning and Coordination:

•    Contribute to the planning and coordination of MPD projects, including logistics, resource allocation, and scheduling.

•    Assist in preparing risk assessments and contingency plans for MPD operations.

•    Learn to coordinate with various stakeholders, including drilling engineers, rig personnel, and service providers, to ensure         smooth execution of MPD activities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

•      While this position is primarily based in a professional office environment

•      Travel to yards and rigs maybe required
