Ensures DSS, Inc. applications execute correctly and accurately by mentoring and assisting DSS’ Quality Assurance (QA) staff regarding technical issues involving IRIS VistA maintenance, server issues, VistA issues, HIPAA issues, etc.
Interfaces with internal clients from various departments to report, define, analyze and track bugs/issues encountered requiring working knowledge of IRIS for Health, Servers and VistA.
Must be able to pass a level 2 federal background security evaluation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties:
Supports DSS’ QA Staff members with application and server technical issues.
Adds or removes Admin RDP access to servers for QA analysts.
Configure and manage Windows server 2019 and 2022.
Install Intersystems IRIS for Health and applications related to software QA on DSS laptops and servers.
Loads VA VistA patches and dependencies on Quality Assurance test servers, sometimes after hours.
Assists on projects installing applications for 508 compliance (JAWS).
Assists QA analysts regarding training, technical manuals and procedures.
Creates knowledge base documentation for others to use.
Interfaces with DSS partners to provide technical assistance for testing/debugging issues relating to use of DSS products.
Verifies that help desk tickets, requiring in-depth technical expertise, have been accurately and correctly rectified.
SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Verifiable experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Verifiable experience with Microsoft SQL configuration & implementation.
Verifiable experience with Windows 10 Professional, Windows Server 2019 & 2022
Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills, is detail oriented.
Experience with Network, PC and CITRIX security permissions.
Experience installing and configuring printers, scanners and other peripheral devices on a network.
Has good oral and written communication skills; also, possesses good listening skills and exhibits a commitment to communicating in a clear, concise and timely manner.
Ability to organize time effectively while identifying barriers to management, proposing solutions and setting priorities

Required:
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a relevant field of study or experience can be substituted for a formal degree.
Desired:
College degree in Computer Science, Computer Information, Health Information or other related degree.
