Administrative Assistant at TCDC Inc Watertown

Position Summary



Provide high-level administrative support such as assisting employees with general HR policy and benefit questions, assisting with system needs in UKG (HRIS) and SumTotal (LMS - learning management system) running reports, preparing manufacturing and sales reports, and handling confidential and sensitive information. Professionally greet a diverse group of our customers, vendors, and visitors as well as employee owners visiting from all levels and locations of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload, and recommend changes/improvements in areas of responsibility.



Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks




  • Greet and direct visitors to appropriate individuals and sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.

  • Provide administrative support to the plant manager and management team.

  • Assist in fielding general questions from office and production staff.

  • Support related ESOP initiatives and activities and serve as a resource to the ESOP Communications Team as needed or required. 

  • Communicate, schedule, and prepare/update monthly PowerPoint presentations for employee meetings

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents using MS Office programs, as well as, HRIS and learning management system (LMS).   

  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, scheduling interviews, performing reference checks, etc.

  • Onboarding of new employees, coordinating temporary personnel with staffing agencies, maintaining employee records, and completing the offboarding process.

  • Accurate employee record/file keeping (i.e. employee status changes, hire/termination processing, unemployment insurance paperwork, etc.)

  • Responsible for knowing and following all environmental, health and safety rules, policies, and procedures for the work area and takes responsibility to ensure that personal work activity is conducted in such a way as to not affect the safety of themselves or others.


  • All other duties as assigned.












Education and Experience




  • Required:  High school diploma.

  • 1-3 years of administrative support experience ideally supporting Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.

  • Requires a high degree of professionalism and integrity, a collaborative working style, and strong attention to detail.

  • Requires a high degree of confidentiality and trust relating to TCDC personnel, financial, and business information.
