Lonza Portsmouth is looking for professionals to grow with us and we have an exciting opportunity in our Finance group.  The Senior Financial Analyst will leverage their strong accounting and compliance background to explore historical financial date, predict future results and drive process and policy improvements.  Day-to-day responsibility for the financial analysis that enables the business to make sound financial and operational decisions.

Key responsibilities:

• Assists with the development of annual budgeting and monthly forecasting.


• Independently analyze, interpret and challenge the businesses' financial performance and partner with the business to advise them on financial performance, with some guidance of Site Controller.


• Monitoring and reporting of standard cost variances and assures standard costs are updated in accordance with FAM (Financial Accounting Manual) and MAM (Management Accounting Manual).


• Supports Lonza Biologics, Inc’s monthly internal financial report and analysis.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

• Bachelors’ degree required; MBA preferred


• 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience in a multi-national environment. Preferably in Life Sciences industry


• CMA/CPA preferred


• Advanced Excel analytics; Power BI and SAP knowledge a plus


• Demonstrated experience in working with diverse teams spread across geographies


• Advanced Analytical abilities


• Strong and concise written and oral communication
