Lynden Air Cargo is looking for an experienced First Officer who can transport mail, freight, or for other commercial purposes within the Alaska, domestic, and international markets, along with aiding in operations in Alaska and worldwide operations around the world.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; college degree preferred; minimum 5,000 hours of experience as a pilot; or equivalent combination of education and experience. International or Alaska experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, professional journals, governmental regulations, and safety regulations. Ability to write reports and accurately record information into flight records. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to use common sense and sound judgment to deal with situations and multiple problems that occur simultaneously in a highly controlled and regulated environment. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Airline Pilot Transport Pilot Certificate (or letter of aeronautical competency, if younger than age 23)
Multi-engine Rating
Class I Medical Certificate
Simulator Flight Evaluation
Current Driver License
Current US Passport
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be available to workdays, evenings, weekends, nights or holidays and to be away from home for extended periods of time. Must be available to travel
to domestic and international locations without restrictions, including entrance onto foreign military bases.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and smell. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles. toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; explosives and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually, loud.
