Must be able to set and see 15+ appointments per week from the following sources:
Bank Referrals, Customer Lists, Seminars, Walk-Ins, Existing Clients, Client Referrals and Personal Referrals
Good closing skills are necessary; Should be adept at profiling prospects, finding legitimate financial needs and filling those needs through a reallocation of their existing resources; Once established in the territory, $240,000 in gross revenue production per year is the minimum standard
Should be resourceful and willing to find and refer prospects to other areas in the bank for deposit, loan and trust products
Must be ethical, operate within a client “best interest” standard and maintain a clean compliance record
Must maintain a FINRA registered office according to all compliance guidelines
Must be proactive in placing and receiving sales/service calls to/from clients, as well as prospects, vendors, and the bank
Return calls to clients should be in accordance with client service guidelines
If assigned a Client Service Associate, must manage this employee according to established HR standards and policies and the corresponding Client Service Associate (I,II,III) job description
Must submit all reports timely as directed, e.g., expense reports, weekly activity reports
Must follow all established CTFS procedures
Must attend all CTFS sales meetings unless excused
Must remain current in all industry, b/d and bank continuing education requirements
Ensure all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures
Other duties/tasks/requests as assigned
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE
Life, Variable Life and Health Insurance Licenses
FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 or the equivalent.
PC, internet, email and general computing skills required; Microsoft Office a plus
2+ years’ experience as a Registered Representative/Insurance Agent is necessary with Bank Brokerage experience preferred. Must be able to perform within a Bank Branch environment, interacting with tellers, CSR’s, loan officers, managers, and market CEO’s on a daily basis. Will be required to travel within a network of branches, and attend all branch sales meetings, training extensively on the referral process and other investment topics when appropriate.
Must have a thorough understanding of investment and insurance products, in particular: general securities (along with complete understanding of the order entry process), mutual funds, variable
annuities, fixed annuities, life insurance and long-term care insurance. The knowledge and ability to handle common investment concepts and products is needed, such as personal and qualified retirement plans, college planning, asset allocation, taxable, tax-free and tax-deferred products, tax planning as it relates to investments and insurance, managing risk and others.
