Job Summary:

Facilitate and manage IT recovery exercises in accordance with resiliency and recovery requirements. Lead other lifecycle initiatives that support business continuity and operational resiliency as required. Understand the various recovery strategies and work with IT infrastructure teams to implement improvements. Coordinates with various information technology and business groups to identify crucial systems and dependencies, potential vulnerabilities and risks that could result in a catastrophic impact. Provide system admin support for SolarWinds and Fusion Risk Management tools.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:


  • Completes analysis (application impact analysis) of IT infrastructure and applications to quantify and document business impact for the purpose of determining resiliency and recovery needs.

  • Collect and organize information about systems to create an inventory of interdependencies, hardware, network, and applications requirements clearly defined for continuity and recovery purposes.

  • Facilitates discussions  with cross-functional teams to author recovery procedures, defines test objectives, test approach. Participates in continuity and recovery exercises validating plan procedures, RTO/RPO, recovery prioritization and participates in post-event retrospectives to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Provides summary report documenting recovery time capabilities, issues, and resolutions.

  • Works with IT infrastructure and Architecture teams to design and develop an implementation plan for Disaster Recovery strategic direction utilizing industry’s’ best practices that meet organization needs.

  • Provide training and educates teams of recovery strategy capabilities.

  • Provide system administration support for IT monitoring and continuity tools – SolarWinds and Fusion Risk Management tools. Proactively monitor tools to ensure optimal performance and availability, work with vendors to implement process improvements based on users’ requirements.

  • Maintain related documentation, including application, and end-user manuals- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines and other documentation.

  • Participates in SDLC reviews of new products, services, and vendors to proactively identify risks and ensure continuity and recovery requirements are comprehended.

  • Monitor and drive the successful completion of program deliverables.

  • Monitors incoming Service Now requests and ensure they are completed in a timely and quality manner.

  • Works with other IT groups to schedule and orchestrate OS patching and other  lifecycle initiatives.

  • As business needs dictate, extended/flexible hours may be required.

Travel Requirements:


  • Minimal travel < 5% = 3 weeks per year

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Ability to identify risk and mitigation opportunities. Ability to analyze requirements to develop continuity plans.

  • Flexibility to balance multiple work streams and adjust to change with competing timelines and deliverables.

  • Ability to work and team with colleagues at different levels, both IT and Business groups and across various locations, globally.

  • Ability to understand when to escalate to deal with potentially difficult situations.

  • Possess methodical and detailed work approach, strong business analysis, problem solving and reasoning skills. Strong communication (oral and written) and time management skills.

  • Possesses Business administrator / analyst skills to support and manage Fusion risk management and SolarWinds toolsets.

  • Experience in managing and leading projects – strong administrative skills, effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve target dates.

  • Strong skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Work Environment:


  • Normal office environment.

  • Potential for flexible work options.

  • Off hour support required as necessary.

  • Occasional weekend support.

Experience:


  • 5 years - Knowledge of methods and techniques to elicit, analyze and document business requirements.  Tactical and strategic contribution  in support of overall business resiliency / recovery plans.

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in relevant subject matter (Information Technology, Information Assurance, Information Security, or Associates Degree plus 4 years relevant experience.

  • Relevant experience: Contingency Planning, Disaster Recovery, Risk Management, or Information Technology.
