including automatic drywall taping and finishing tools

skimming blades

hand tools and accessories. Level5 serves drywall finishing professionals and DIYers through a network of distributors and retailers and leads the drywall tools market in online sales.

As Quality technician

you will work at assembling

quality testing and repairing our extensive line of Level 5 and DeWalt drywall taping tools. You will be cross trained to perform a variety of different functions within the production

testing and repair environment. Occasionally

you may also work in the warehouse unloading shipping containers and placing product or picking

packing and shipping orders. The selected candidate must be reliable

work well in a team environment and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and have experience using hand tools and assembling.

Job Responsibilities :


  • Inspect tools and recognize quality defects that may exist from the manufacturers' assembly process
  • Inspect merchandise to include checking for shortages and rejecting damaged goods; communicating shortages and merchandise damage through proper channels to ensure accurate billing
  • Correct the quality defects that you identify so that the products meet our quality standards
  • Repair returned tools into a state of functionality so that they can be sold as refurbished items
  • Follow standard work instructions to repair ATF tools in line with determined quality standards
  • Meet daily production throughput expectations
  • Keep work area and repair tools clean

  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Follow and enforce standard operating procedures

  • Maintain paperwork associated with repair of products and/or movement of inventory
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Exhibit capability and flexibility to be cross trained to become proficient on a variety of duties
  • Adhere to attendance requirements; including capability to occasionally work overtime as required
  • Unload imported shipping containers
  • Pick

    pack and ship orders


  • Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Skills:

  • Able to read and follow blueprints for tool assembly and repair. Must have strong attention to detail

    careful and thorough in completing work tasks. Aptitude to work with small hand tools as well as pneumatic and cordless tools. Ability to grasp mechanical concepts


  • Ability to inspect equipment to identify the causes of problems or defects; using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches to problems
  • Able to read

    speak and understand English


  • Physical ability to perform essential functions of the job

    including lifting packages of up to 50 pounds


  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player
  • Attention to detail; accurate and thorough
