Internal Auditor SOC and Fed Ramp - Government Services at Horne LLP

The internal auditor is responsible for performing audits of the internal controls relating to the delivery of services and technology to Horne Government Services Customers and internal stakeholders.


Essential Functions:



  • Devise an internal audit plan to test controls over a 12-month cycle

  • Provide monthly reports to the Oversight Committee

  • Participate in external audits to with client obligations

  • Point person for Fed Ramp and SOC2 annual audits

  • Point person for Fed Ramp Assessments and ongoing reporting

  • Participation in the Enclave Management Team

  • Participation on the Oversight Committee

  • Provide documentation and support for RFP security control responses

  • Work with internal teams on process remediations to meet control requirements

  • Participate in Risk Assessments including preparation of draft for review

  • Participate in Table Top Exercises including preparation of draft for review


Required Education and Experience:


The Internal Auditor candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent business experience and 4+ years of audit or compliance experience in technology.  Preference will be given to candidates who are a certified Fraud Examiner



  • Robust background in IT Audit, Internal Audit, and/or IT compliance history

  • Experience auditing clients against Fed Ramp and SOC 2

  • Demonstrated experience finding solutions for complex problems in enterprise environments

  • Exceptional analytical and Problem-solving skills

  • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.


Preferred Skills



  • Experience with CMMC

  • CISA Certification


HORNE Work Environment:


The internal auditor position can be located in any of Horne’s existing offices or work remote.  Some travel maybe required.
