What You Will Do

• Learn Production Control.


• Learn about employee engagement and volume.


• Investigate on improvement for material variances.


• Help with improvements for new generation of workforce.


• Perform flood audits.


• Learn basics of inventory.

How You Will Do It

• Setting up schedules and looking at ways to improve operation.


• Creating and updating Standard Work for Supervisors.


• Assisting with down time efficiency issues and goal achievement with implementation of action plans.


• Recommending and implementing improvements to reduce variances.


• Working with the training team to recommend new ideas for training and learning for the new generation.


• Reviewing the Customer Profile Book


• Conducting time studies and updating work instructions.


• Working on Continuous Improvement Process.

What We Look For

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university


• Pursuing an undergraduate in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Leadership, and/or Business


• Position not eligible for immigration sponsorship.


• 
  Duration: Summer 2023. Up to 40 hours per week. Part-time during the school year may be available.


• 
  Working Arrangements: On-site based at our manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, IN.

What We Do Here

Our Fort Wayne, Indiana distribution center charges, packages and ships the batteries used in cars, boats, motorcycles, and heavy-duty trucks. We opened in 1999 and now employ 130 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through The United Way.
