What you will do

The Plant Manager is responsible for all operations activities within the plant and effective integration of Product, Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics Teams Activities aimed to meet and/or exceed Financial Plan; the development and implementation of three-year Operation Strategy for continued growth; and, sustained implementation of JCMS, Lean, HPT, S&OP, Staffing Model and other JCI Best Business Practices.

How you will do it


  • Develop and implement action plans and procedures within the Ruskin supply chain to achieve Financial Plan Revenue and Gross Margin.


  • Develop and implement operational capacity to achieve and sustain annual growth according to Business Plan.  Drives year over year improvements.


  • Lead Operation capacity and stability based on JCMS cultural change and proper use of JCI Lean Manufacturing Best Business Practices, including any specific actions and/or policy required to continually improve the enterprise health.


  • Top Leader of Transformation Projects in supply chain with extensive use of own and central resources to identify Continuous Improvement Projects and fully achieve Productivity established targets in Financial and related systems.


  • Defines, rationalizes and implements capital projects.  Defines operational process sequences, production facilities and layouts, tooling and fixtures, establishes time standards.


  • Coach plant principal champions and assist plants in effective JCMS action planning process.


  • Support BBP benchmark events to drive best practices and to network with the Manufacturing Excellence team to improve common processes and products.


  • Implement S&OP, Master Scheduling and One-Piece Flow Best Practices to improve lead times and efficiency while reducing inventory.


  • Develop Plant’s succession plan in all areas to fully satisfy talent requirements.


  • Continually connect with External & Internal Customers and/or Commercial Leaders on issues representing supply or quality concerns.


  • Work with Lexington and other communities with Ruskin presence to enhance business networking and relations, including government and philanthropic societies.


What we look for

Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field and a minimum of (10) years of manufacturing experience with at least five (5) years of experience in an Operations leadership role(s) with Managers reporting directly to him/her as well as extended Supply Chain responsibilities.


  • Previous experience working in a Materials Manager role.


  • Knowledge and experience in world class manufacturing systems (i.e., JCMS, TPS, etc.) and its techniques required to implement them across the Lexington facility.


  • Clear understanding of layout and process flow, problem solving, design, assembly and/or appropriate process engineering experience.


  • Strategic and tactical thinking balance.


  • Excellent communication and people skills.


Preferred:


  • Master’s degree.


  • Extensive experience in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.


  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean and/or Problem Solving.
