Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties has a full-time opportunity for a Revenue Cycle Business Analyst in Anaheim, CA.

The Analyst, Revenue Cycle Business Analytics works closely with the Vice President of Finance and Senior Director of Revenue Cycle to develop automated dashboards and nuanced business analytics to drive better business performance. This individual will work internally across functions to analyze current workflows and processes to define ways to measure performance improvement, and drive increased revenue, reporting efficiencies, and cost savings.

Responsibilities


  • Diverse understanding of revenue cycle operations, including credentialing, provider enrollment, billing, collections, payment/adjustment posting, credit balance/refunds, statements, bad debt write-offs, collections processes, and reporting.

  • Provides thorough data analysis of all A/R behavior, with particular attention to billing, collections/follow/up, denials management, and credit balance reconciliation to identify payer trends & patterns.

  • Provides oversight and management of all clearinghouse functions and processes, including ad-hoc reporting.

  • Creates and manages projects encompassing all phases of application/technology implementations

  • Works closely with Revenue Cycle Management, Operations, and Information Systems, ensuring that applications/technologies/workflows function.

  • Evaluates processes and vendors to determine possible changes needed within Revenue Cycle Operations.

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and KPI reporting.

  • Performs financial analysis and records revenue recognition.

  • Routinely review and audit clinic billing & collections to ensure timely billing, maximize collections according to insurance contracts, and proactively identify risks and problems impacting clinic cash flow.

  • Review, analyze and codes clinic diagnostic and procedural information that determines appropriate insurance payments.

  • Produces reports identifying billing/collections trends and implements corrective action items.

  • Work closely with RCM Director to develop metrics to reduce controllable denials and write-offs and increase revenue intake.

  • All other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management and/or VP of Finance.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare or business-related field preferred.

 

Minimum Work Experience:


  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ billing and collections experience in healthcare.

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience

  • Proficient with RCM reports, electronic medical records software (eClinicalWorks), Tableau, Claim Remedy & MS Office preferred.

  • Advanced experience working with large data sets, multiple data sources, and interpreting complex data to create meaningful information.

  • Experience reading, interpreting, and applying contract language to data sets.

  • Experience with multiple sites

  • Ability to process verbal information and input this information into the computer.

  • Ability to follow complex instructions and procedures.

  • Ability to master essential math skills and think logically.

  • Ability to utilize an electronic billing service system.

  • Ability to converse in a calm and friendly manner and communicate professionally by phone, email, written correspondence, and in face-to-face interactions.

  • Able to type 35 wpm on a personal computer.

  • Proven ability to develop plans and engage stakeholders.

  • Must have effective communication, facilitation, interpersonal, and professional diplomacy skills.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to problem-solve, negotiate and demonstrate independent decision-making.

  • Positive attitude and takes a team approach to management.

  • Maintain strong skills in diplomacy, professionalism, and trustworthiness.




Salary: $79,800.00
