Arcosa is seeking a Tax Director in our Dallas, TX headquarters. This role will report to the Vice President of Taxes and will be involved in practically all areas of tax. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee quarterly and annual external financial statement reporting and disclosures, and internal financial forecasting for all taxes under US GAAP and Non-GAAP. Manage overall execution of internal controls and SOX 404 compliance for the overall tax function and communication with external auditors.
Oversee execution of worldwide income tax filings and ensure timely and accurate filing, including information reporting filings.
Collaborates with the C Suite, investors, leadership team, and Board of Directors to steer tax related efforts and concerns.
Partner with tax management team to develop and implement short and long-term strategies. Lead strategy and roadmap for cross-functional projects, process improvements and automation in alignment with other teams and functions.
Model the prospective financial impact of various tax laws, proposals, and positions to provide a framework for identifying solutions to mitigate potential issues.
Manage an excellent team of tax professionals; provide leadership, coaching and establish overall team objectives.
Collaborate with key cross-functional partners and leaders in Accounting, Finance, Legal and other internal teams.
Assists with new business and department initiatives, including participation and/or leading in cross-functional teams.
Assists with mergers and acquisitions analysis and integrations.
Additional duties as assigned by leadership.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field
8+ years of relevant tax experience
License/Certification: CPA License / JD with advanced training in tax desirable
Experience in private industry, with SEC reporting, and experience in a public organization preferable
Broad familiarity with federal and state income taxation of consolidated groups, single-member limited liability companies
Knowledge of taxation of foreign operations desirable. Familiarity with sales and use tax, property tax, and escheat law
Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships with other headquarters departments and business unit leaders
Skilled at clearly and succinctly articulating written and oral communications and tailoring it to the specific audience
Ability to partner with senior management and positively influence decisions
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, ability to adjust communication based on customer situation
Solid time-management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
Self-motivated and ability to take ownership of work with minimal supervision
