JOB TITLE: Branch Manager

JOB SUMMARY: The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operations of a physical location. They are responsible for the overall financial success of the branch. The primary duties include managing the fleet of vehicles, leading a team of primarily drivers and mechanics, hiring staff, and heading the onboarding and staff training process, building rapport with customers and the community, creating, and implementing strategies to improve productivity, operational excellence, and sales performance in efforts to achieve the financial and operational targets of the site. The branch manager is responsible to ensure a positive workplace culture focused on creating a safe work environment, mutual respect for all employees, a positive work ethic, and integrity. JOB LOCATION: 2645 Commerce Drive, Columbia, SC 29205

HOURS/SHIFT: M-F day shift occassional evenings or weekends may be required

Our power sweeping solutions include sweeping parking lots, streets, and highways as well as construction, industrial, and special event sites. Our fleet uses the latest mechanical broom sweepers and regenerative air vacuum trucks. In addition to being the leader in professional power sweeping, SCA also provides state-of-the-art jet-vac services where we can perform collection, system preventive maintenance cleaning, and identify infrastructure issues before they occur.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the P&L of a business unit, managing employees who work during the day and at night.

• Get to grow your site’s revenue by collaborating with the sales team on opportunities.

• Manage site staffing levels to match revenue and business needs and report on KPIs such as revenue, safety, labor, costs, maintenance, and equipment.

• Schedule work weekly or when possible, up to a month in advance, arranging your employees’ routes to meet customer demands, with the assistance of routing software.

• Track employee hours and pay daily/weekly and approve payroll in the online system.

• Coach and develop employees on their performance, including issuing disciplinary action if needed and practicing good employee relations.

• Have autonomy to solve problems and function independently as a business leader

 JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in operations, and management experience.

• Understanding of and willingness to participate in the sales and marketing process to grow the business.

• Computer literate & proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

• High-energy, self-motivated, organized, and able to self-manage time and daily objectives.

• Strong leadership skills.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO DO THIS JOB:

In this position, you must be able to travel to your client sites. You will need to be available during the shifts of all your employees when needed. This position may require you to sit or stand for extended periods of time. You may have to spend extended periods of time at a computer screen. You may be required to travel to our corporate location in Cleveland or other locations, as necessary.
