The Cell Leader has overall responsibility for the safety, quality and production performance of their department. They are a member of the Leadership Team and. The Cell Leader will provide leadership, training and support to department team members and train to and enforce company policies and procedures. Must possess a willingness to assist with technical troubleshooting as well as operating production equipment through relief periods if necessary.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience.

You Will

• Be responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.




• Coordinate and prioritize work schedules, assignments & training, guiding and developing associates to be successful.




• Develop and execute plans for efficient use of materials, machines and associates. Lead and direct all Injection associates which may include supervisors.




• Manage production efficiency, scrap, reliability and efficient changeovers to maintain and enhance the operation of the Injection area.




• Be a SME in Injection equipment, processes and procedures.




• Manage departments daily activities, assuring the team is achieving safety, quality & productivity standards.




• Hold team meetings covering safety, quality, and reliability issues.




• Lead team in helping to identify Root Cause and develop robust permanent actions for customer complaints and internal production issues.




• Monitor process & production, leading the team to resolve issues & identify improvement opportunities.




• Facilitate communication between leaders & to your team.




• Work with Technical Trainer to identify training needs for all associates.




• Ensures all policies are followed – GMP, Safety, and Work Instructions.




• Grow your knowledge and leadership skills through a wide variety of training & on-the-job experiences.

You Have

• Ability to work days and provide coverage and support to all shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.




• A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Plastics Technology, Electro-Mechanical or a similar technical area or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.




• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment; Plastic injection experience highly preferred.




• Strong leadership, social and interpersonal skills to lead, relate with and motivate people.




• Ability to compile, analyze and interpret data to drive continual improvement.




• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints and effectively present information.




• Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts.




• Proficiency operating a computer to enter & retrieve data, create reports and presentations.




• Knowledge of 6S & continuous improvement desired
