Acts as a liaison between the Subaru of America Service Engineering Center (SEC) (a.k.a. service shop) Service Advisor and the SEC Parts Specialist, as well as assists the SEC Manager and shop team and, when needed, stands in for the Service Advisor and/or Parts Specialist to perform those roles when those employees are out of the office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs daily information gathering from all vehicles to be written up at the SEC.
Assists the Service Advisor in the write-up of vehicles.
Provides vehicle drop offs to the customers of the SEC to Subaru's Headquarters in Camden as well as satellite office in Pennsauken.
Assists the SEC Parts Specialist with the unloading of daily stock orders as well as the check-in and stocking of daily parts orders.
Drives to the Florence Regional Distribution Center (RDC) to pick up needed essential parts for emergency repairs.
Provides the SEC Technicians with checked-in parts daily.
Assists the Service Advisor with the day-end procedures (repair order closing, filing, route sheet procedures, etc.).
When needed, stands in for the Service Advisor and/or Parts Specialist and performs those roles when those employees are out of the office.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the SEC shop staff with the gathering of vehicles for repairs and Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) from various local Subaru of America sites.
Performs special projects set forth by the SEC Manager (such as clean up and organizational projects, filing projects, etc.).
Assists the Corporate Vehicle Administration (CVA) Department with lot finds/lot starts.
Assists the SEC Parts Specialist with bin counts and yearly Parts Inventory process.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Understanding of an automotive repair facility and its day-to-day operations.
Experience with automotive computer systems such as ADP, Reynolds and Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.
Experience with automotive manufacturers' warranty policies and warranty data entry.
Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to performs well independently as well as part of a team.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Lift up to 75 pounds, work in an automotive shop and travel 0-10%
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma and 2-4 years' experience
SALARY RANGE: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $44,900-$64,100. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Internal grade: A2
