Background

Chubb’s Major Accounts Division has put forward a vision that centralizes insights around our clients; harmonizes the end-to-end underwriting processes to rate, quote, bind, and issue business; and delivers risk assessment and underwriting tools in an intuitive platform for all stakeholders.



Responsibility

In this role, the successful candidate will interact with the underwriters and support the transformation of Major Accounts workflows into a digital experience. Initial efforts will include working with the underwriters from various business units to understand existing workflows and data streams and come up with a homogenized way to capture that information in the underwriter workstation.

The successful candidate will work with employees in the US and offshore to develop and document requirements and manage user acceptance testing.

The successful candidate will liaise with senior underwriting, IT, and support area colleagues to plan and execute solutions using the agile development framework.

To be effective, the successful candidate must be able to articulate the organizational, functional, procedural, and information aspects of the business environment. The candidate must also work as a change agent and act as a bridge to foster digital experiences, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Requirements


  • Experience in underwriting workflows

  • At least 2 years of insurance experience

  • Detail-oriented approach with keen prioritization skills and strong personal motivation

  • Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences to convey ideas

  • Adept in understanding technology and able to showcase, defend, and examine end use cases

  • Review, accept and prioritize feedback and new requirements from business users

  • Ability to maintain timelines, streamline cross-functional dependencies, and increase efficiency of project execution



Preferences


  • Direct experience working with underwriters

  • Prior experience gathering requirements

  • Working knowledge with Excel and databases like Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, or similar

  • Agile project development experience
