We are seeking a highly organized and experienced professional to produce, manage, and direct a multi-day bioprinting conference. The ideal candidate will have a background in event production, as well as a strong understanding of additive manufacturing and the burgeoning field of biofabrication and its related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive conference plan and budget that reflects the latest developments in biofabrication in medicine
Identify and secure a suitable venue that meets the technical requirements for bioprinting presentations and hands-on demonstrations
Establish and chair committees as necessary to ensure a high-quality and engaging experience for attendees, steering the vision, overseeing the organization of the event, and its programming
Lead sponsorship efforts in support of programmatic goals
Coordinate with keynote speakers, panelists, and other experts to ensure a well-rounded conference program that covers the latest advancements in biofabrication in medicine research and development
Oversee all logistics, including registration, signage, food and beverage service, and any needed transportation for attendees and needed biofabrication equipment or supplies
Develop and deploy marketing and promotion efforts, in consultation with current stakeholders, including website development, email campaigns, and social media outreach to target the appropriate audience communities
Ensure that all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance are in place for the conference and its bioprinting demonstrations
Manage the onsite team and oversee the smooth operation of the conference, including any biofabrication demonstrations and presentations
Develop podcast-like content interviewing key opinion leaders in biofabrication in medicine
Evaluate the success of the conference and make recommendations for future events, including the integration of emerging bioprinting technologies
Extensive work travel may be needed to help manage the program or ensure its success
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as bioprinting, biology, engineering, or hospitality and management is a plus
At least 5 years of experience producing and managing large-scale events, specifically in the bioprinting or related additive manufacturing fields, is desired
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Familiarity with biofabrication technologies, processes, and terminology
Proficiency with event management software and tools
Knowledge of conference planning and production best practices in the biofabrication field
