Tuvli is seeking a mid-level Oracle database administrator to join our team supporting our Federal Government client located in North Bethesda, Maryland. This is a remote position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to alerts for a large number of databases


• Support and troubleshoot Oracle Real Application Clusters


• Perform common DBA tasks through SQL Developer and/or TOAD


• Monitor and tune database performance related issues


• Analyze and apply database vendor patches per customer requirements


• Upgrade Oracle databases


• Migrate databases within and across different platforms


• Able to work independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment using sound judgement and decision-making


• Little to no production support

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology)


• 5+ years of related experience is required


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 12c and 19c


• Experience with common Oracle RDBMS utilities, emphasis on RMAN Data Pump


• Experience with *nix Shell scripting


• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, PERL, and Python 


• Nice to have experience: Ansible, Oracle Cloud Control, Oracle Exadata, AWS RDS, Oracle OCI


• The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or a green card holder and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
