The Medtronic Diabetes - Global Consumer Marketing team has an opportunity to hire a Senior Social Media Specialist who will work as a community manager for our social media channels. This person will be responsible for managing community responses, developing social media content, managing a content calendar and providing performance analysis of our channels. Prior community management experience is highly preferred along with knowledge of the social media landscape including emerging platforms for consumer facing brands. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Consumer Marketing.

The Diabetes Operating Unit focuses on improving the lives of those within the global diabetes community. Medtronic Diabetes is headquartered in Northridge, CA. The strong preference is for this role to be based in Northridge/Los Angeles. We are utilizing a hybrid work environment.

A Day in the Life

Community Management

• Lead responses to customers on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube
• Manages agency partners supporting community management needs

Content Development and planning

• Manage content calendar for social team.
• Drives accountability and ownership of content plans.
• Develops social content. Must be skilled in social writing (samples will be requested)

Performance Measurement

• Utilizes Social Listening tool to monitor performance. Provides updates to broader marketing team.
• Understands social performance measures and comfortable leading presentations on results. Able to evaluate performance outcomes and determine insights that can drive future executions.
• Minimal travel

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required with a mi nimum of 4 years of relevant experience in social media community management, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years'

Nice to Have

• Preferred 4+ years of professional experience with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter,
• Experience managing a professional TikTok account is a bonus.
• Preferred 2+ years working in marketing
• Preferred experience with Khoros Marketing or similar community management tool
• Experience with Facebook Business Manager
• Strong bias for action and attention to detail

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
