Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist is a member of our Blue Diamond Growers (BDG) HR team as well as the Global Supply team which includes the Manufacturing facility this position will partner with. In collaboration with frontline leaders, this position will help maintain and enhance the environment where our team members and the site continue to grow and evolve, driving action related to all people programs. There is a focus on BDG Global Supply's 5 Key Focus Areas: Safety, Quality, Service, Performance and People with a focus on continuous improvement which transforms our workplaces, processes and people experiences all resulting in enhanced team member engagement and improved, business performance.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  • In partnership with site-HR team, drives and supports local implementation and execution of Global Supply initiatives, objectives, strategies and tactics in alignment with HR functional priorities.

  • Be a trusted advisor to the site-wide leaders, at times, including the site leadership team, strengthening team effectiveness and ensuring BDG Values are brought to life on a daily basis.

  • Collaborates with HR colleagues at other sites and in COEs. May lead cross-site and/or cross-functional project teams.

  • Provide balanced leadership as a trusted advisor to site-wide leaders while also being a team member advocate. Flexes schedule as needed to provide leadership on Swing and Grave shifts.

  • Coaches frontline leaders on engaging employees and creating a great-place-to- work environment.

  • Engages and partners with frontline leaders on continuous basis, fostering environment of trust, advocacy and becoming credible advisor to them, supporting their engagement and success.

  • Engage in and at times lead processes and activities that foster BDG's team-based and continuous improvement culture, resulting in high performing interactions and teams.

  • Accomplish work through the extended HR team while also serving as a mentor to site-HR team members.

  • Assesses business partner needs regarding talent acquisition, talent management, workforce planning, people analytics, retention, and succession planning.

  • Communicates with employees on various issues, including Company policies, internal job opportunities, and other Company communications.

  • Manages multiple priorities simultaneously with a bias for delivering results.

  • Leads project teams and facilitate small groups as assigned, ensuring strong change management which results in sustained change and high team member engagement levels.

  • Conducts internal investigations and recommend corrective actions.

  • Interfaces with all levels of the organization.

  • Analyzes and interpret data and current practice/process with a strong solution focus, evolving practice and process as needed.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2 years of HR experience in combined areas of Employee Relations, HR business partnership and executing daily HR responsibilities.

  • Capable of communicating effectively to all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work varying shifts as needed in order to support a 24/7 workforce.

  • Knowledge and experience with California employment law, CA/Fed leaves of absence, ADA, EEO, Title VII, FLSA, etc

  • HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Office environment demands including frequent speaking both in person and over the phone; writing, reading files, reports and PC screen. Prolonged sitting at computer terminal. Regular vision concentration for reading and checking reports, forms and data entry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical office environment with low levels of noise and fumes, adequate lighting and comfortable temperature. Use of 10-Key, computer, scanner, fax.
