Product Management Senior Advisor, Pharmacy Prescriber Strategy - Express Scripts at Cigna

Role Description:

This role is responsible for defining and driving Express Scripts Pharmacy engagement strategy for the prescriber population. In this role, the Sr. Advisor will serve as the owner for prescriber engagement initiatives and supporting communications to meet the unique needs of our various prescriber populations.

This position serves as a key resource for management of the engagement and communication strategy for prescribers for the pharmacy. This role serves as primary point of contact for projects with communication impact to prescribers and will lead the facilitation of activities completed by other functional areas to execute the established strategy. Responsible for consulting with cross-functional partners on ensuring appropriate delivery of communications, analyzing data to provide content for strategic direction, and managing project plans to execution.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:


  • Assist with the definition of stretch prescriber engagement goals.

  • Defines prescriber engagement and communication strategies to support pharmacy goals and strategies.

  • Successfully drive and implement appropriate actions defined by the engagement and communication strategy.

  • Represent Express Scripts Pharmacy across highly matrixed organization in support of work related to prescriber engagement.

  • Responsible for planning and successful execution of large cross-functional projects, which include defining project scope, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and work plans.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to deliver on engagement strategy goals.

  • Prioritize, plan and delegate work as appropriate to ensure effective execution of team/function deliverables.

  • Resolve issues and determine contingency plans and triggers for risks. As needed, escalate issues to appropriate audiences including key business leaders and team members.

  • Develop periodic and ad hoc reporting and communications to be used for related projects, management reporting, departmental scorecards (when appropriate) and manage distribution across key timelines.

  • Influence and communicate effectively with individuals in various functional areas and at all levels of management.

Experience & Qualifications:


  • 6+ years' experience in project management, operational effectiveness or other relevant experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Knowledge of engagement or communication strategy.

  • Previous prescriber or pharmacy experience.

  • Excellent analytic, written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to quickly translate ideas and insights into presentation-ready documents

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to proactively communicate and to resolve issues with the highest sense of urgency.

  • Critical thinker and creative problem solver; seeks perspective from others to inform a unique perspective and able to influence/gain buy-in.

  • Demonstrated experience in influencing cross-functional teams.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced - ever changing environment.

  • Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office suite.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 103,700 - 172,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
