Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:
Leads by example for staff by providing the highest level of Guest Service. Under direction, supervises, trains and coordinates Game staff in assigned area, working as a team leader geared to providing excellent guest service. Maintains a high level of professional conduct. Incorporates excellent customer service into daily activities. Train, review and encourage staff provide excellent service to guests and employees. Supervisor coordinates training for required training such as Fire Extinguisher, Cart Training and how to conduct employee observations and spot checks.

UNIQUE JOB REQUIREMENTS:
This is a unique opportunity to join the Boardwalk's great Guest Service Team as the leader in a department. Must provide exceptional Guest Service by acknowledging and greeting all Guests and exemplify outstanding service. Will carry a pager. Games Supervisor reports to the Games Manager for training issues. Must be able to motivate and train staff to provide consistent, friendly and helpful service to employees and guests.

JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
Greet every Guest and answer Guests questions and provide consistent, friendly and helpful guest service
Supervise, train, coordinate, make recommendations for reviews for Game Operators in assigned area
Ensure that Game staff is trained in job functions and guest services
Present department training
Ensure that Seaside Company policies and procedures are followed
Ensure that excellent guest service is provided
Handle guest complaints in a positive and friendly manner
Write daily schedules in absence of Operational or Administrative Supervisor
Oversee safe handling of Company money, including cash handling
Report needed repairs to Game maintenance staff
Recommend promotions and pay raises of staff to Games Operational Supervisor
Establish and maintains cooperative work relationship with Operations Office, Cash Room, Security, Technical Services, Human Resources and other Seaside Company departments
Ensure that Games Walk Supervisors are trained for all legally required training in job functions and guest services including safety issues, wage and hour requirements, spot checks and employee observations
May make recommendations to solve problems and improve operations
May fill in as the department supervisor in the absence of the supervisor, as assigned

RELATIONSHIPS INTERNAL: All Santa Cruz Seaside Company departments.

RELATIONSHIPS EXTERNAL: Heavy guest interaction

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Must excel at providing outstanding Guest Service. Minimum of three months experience in a customer service environment performing cash handling duties, preferably in a lead role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work as a leader of a team and be able to motivate staff
Ability to train, supervise, schedule, evaluate and monitor the work of staff
Ability to quickly learn Company policies and procedures
Ability to make quick and effective decisions
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and employees in a professional, positive and friendly manner
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and keep complete and accurate records
Ability to quickly learn pager and radio communication system
Ability to perform mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately
Ability to use a computer to input and access data
Ability to handle guest complaints
Ability to maintain high standards of appearance for facilities and employees.
Knowledge of legal operational requirements
Ability to train staff for specific operational and guest service issues
Ability to make recommendations to improve operations
Ability to read, understand and explain guides, safety programs, and other required documents

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time
Bi-manual dexterity
Must be able to operate equipment and to climb stairs
Able to lift 50 lbs. from ground to shoulder level
Able to see and hear normal conversations
