CART ASSOCIATE – Albuquerque, NM - part-time

Starting pay rate

$14 / hour

Approximately 12 - 15 per week

3 hours Saturday/3 hours Sunday remaining hours flexible

This job offers a fast-paced environment and flexible schedule all in an exciting atmosphere, the part-time cart associate position at the Albuquerque International Airport offers all that and more!  The essential functions and responsibilities include:

• Manually move carts throughout departures, baggage claim, and garage, to our cart collection areas.


• Repair wheelchairs as needed (light maintenance).


• Learn and practice safe work habits thus assuring safety to self, co-workers, company equipment, airport property, passengers and visitors.


• Clean and repair carts as needed.


• General customer service to assist passengers navigating throughout the airport.


• Possess strong innate work habits and perform the job in an honest, reliable, and a professional manner.


• Effectively communicate with peers, maintenance and management to improve business operations.


• Adaptable to operational change.


• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Six-month successful work experience (unless currently a student).


• Ability to pass state, federal (FAA), Homeland Security clearance requirements and reference checks.


• Open scheduling availability required, including some weekends and holidays.


• Strong customer service and mathematical comprehension, highly desired.


• Displays confidence and competence in fast-paced environment.


• Comfortable speaking to the general public.

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

• Ability to get an airport badge is required.


• Valid driver's license required
  
  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift up to 40 lbs.


• Physical ability, manual dexterity needed to push/pull a minimum of 75-100 lbs


• Walk & stand for duration of shift


• Able to withstand undesirable weather conditions (wind, rain, extreme temperatures up to 115 degrees)
