Claim Specialist -Cyber at Chubb

Job Description:

Chubb is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join the Cyber Claims Data Analytics team. The Specialist will be responsible for claims data accumulation and inquiry from disparate data sources and will need to develop a strong understanding of claims workflows and processing as it touches all points from technical execution to client data delivery.  The ideal candidate will possess strong, interpersonal, problem solving and prioritization skills. The candidate must have experience along with the aptitude to develop an understanding of complex enterprise systems.  Candidates with experience in Insurance/Claims systems will be preferred. The candidate is expected to have 5+ years of experience working with data, business analysis, and client-facing roles. The candidate must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively to perform the analysis and follow through required. Responsibilities:


  • Works closely with management and claims handlers in the collection and verification of data and various file review projects.

  • Organize and develop efficiencies in Chubb cyber data collection processes.

  • Enter, verify, and analyze Chubb cyber data.

  • Investigates data inconsistencies; monitors fields for accuracy and makes correction recommendations as necessary.  Assist in projects requiring data by acquiring necessary information and creating uniformity.

  • Prepares and distributes ad-hoc reports utilizing all necessary systems to create and provide required information in support of the Team and business partners.

  • Maintain and distribute reports integral to Team metrics and service deliverables. Catalog material associated with the Team as necessary.

  • Prepare presentations for managers on data findings and other presentations as necessary

  • Present Chubb cyber data to business partners.

  • Support strategic and functional initiatives within cyber claims by providing insightful research, analysis, and subject matter expertise.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the use and interpretation of relevant Claims and corporate data sources.

  • Assist in ownership of data management for the Cyber claims organization

  • Collaborate closely with Actuarial, Data Science, Underwriting and others to understand data flows to and from multiple systems.

  • Handle special projects within the Cyber claims department as necessary.

  • Organize and coordinate training with our vendor partners for staff on emerging trends.

  • Skilled with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and aptitude to learn new systems.

  • Proficiency with a variety of business intelligence tools preferred (i.e., Qlik Sense, Microsoft Power Query, SQL).

Experience / Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience in math, computer science, or data management.

  • 5+ years business intelligence / data analytics / data management experience.

  • If you do not already have one, you will be required to obtain an applicable resident or designated home state adjusters license and possibly additional state licensure. 

​​​​​​​In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $65,500 to $108,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
