Opportunity Overview We are looking for not only a passionate technologist but an effective problem solver. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience supporting, developing, and executing implementations of information systems across an array of technologies that are crucial to the Digital Division and Command Center. The Command Center Integration engineer will partner and collaborate with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and subject matter experts to document use cases, design, and implement complex technical solutions with a focus on ServiceNow Integrations to include Event Management and AIOps. The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:
ServiceNow's Integration Hub and implementation of "Spokes"
ServiceNow workflows and record creation methods
Development of REST API calls
Implementation of vendor Plug-ins from the ServiceNow Store
Experience with APIs and web services
Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Perl
Minimum 2+ years of experience developing/ administration and configuration of ServiceNow (SNOW) Platforms and applications.
Strong IT experience, specifically Event Management module and AIOps
Experience with Agile software development lifecycle tools such as JIRA or AHA
Responsibilities include:
Identify and document requirements and technical design specifications
Coordinate with vendors to implement various integrations to meet requirements of both parties
Develop and execute test cases
Work closely with our business partners and technical SMEs to define and implement required integrations on the ServiceNow platform
Own the implementation, enhancements, and support of all integrations on the platform
Ensure best practices are enforced and configurations align with future upgrades and system performance
Participate in the implementation and configuration of various ServiceNow products to increase the adoption of the ServiceNow platform.
Responsible for performing daily administration, issue resolution, and troubleshooting of the ServiceNow platform.
Understand IT and business requirements with the ability to develop, test, deploy improvements, and update workflows based on requirements.
Configure and implement ServiceNow solutions using scripting as well as leveraging all appropriate components offered by ServiceNow to meet specific business needs
Provide direction as to the effective use of technology within the enterprise architecture
Assist with the design, installation, and configuration of enterprise-management tools used to monitor our computing infrastructure
Daily support and administration of the enterprise-monitoring tools used by the Command Center
Work with IS teams to identify reporting, establish thresholds, and trending requirements
Develop automation that eliminates manual steps and/or to decrease response time for incidents relative to reporting or proactive management of the infrastructure
Ensure tools and best practice processes are in place for technologies
Work with Command Center Operations staff to find ways to improve the efficiency of handling incidents
Expand the scope of systems and processes monitored by the Command Center
Proactively seek technical improvements and take the initiative to implement solutions
Perform on-call responsibilities
Research technical improvements and takes the initiative to communicate/implement solutions.
Collaborate with multiple business units on technology and business flow, and ability to clearly communicate with the team, SME, and leadership
Thorough understanding of IT processes such as application development, testing, deployment, operations, documentation, standards, and best practices
Good working knowledge of ITSM, ITOM & CMDB processes
Ability to solve problems and rapidly grasp technical concepts
Knowledge of applicable business information systems, business system analysis techniques, and testing methodologies
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications or Engineering preferred or related work experience
4+ Years of experience with technology development
2+ Years of experience delivering integrations on the ServiceNow platform
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience facilitating requirements and design sessions related to integrations
Excellent interpersonal skills.
