The Analytics Product Management organization within Digital & Analytics is entrusted with key Business & Analytics' team relationships, iterative delivery and measurement of business value, and application of agile and product management best practices. The organization works closely with partners in the Data & Analytics Engineering organization.

The Business Analyst role requires a candidate with strong data analysis skills to understand, document and analyze data within Client/Producer data assets as well as document data requirements from source to target data migration.

Responsibilities


  • Partner with the BPOs (Business Product Owners) and Data TPO (Technology Product Owner) to maximize strategic sourcing of data for client analytics and reporting

  • Partner with the Analytics team to understand the recommended sourcing of data, business logic used in metric calculations, and algorithms/ models used to create client-facing analytics, insights, and reports. Ensure that definitions and calculations are streamlined and governed across business areas for consistency and/or distinction.

  • Ensure data and metric definitions are accessible to the business via a data governance tool

  • Partner with teams on enterprise reference data management required for client reporting use cases

  • Reconcile data between legacy and new data sources. Complete root cause analysis to identify and recommend solutions to close large gaps; create talking points to explain rational/ expected data gaps.

  • Develop and document business rules based on data analysis (e.g. for data aggregation, applying filters, etc.)

  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and extract data from various systems to support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) as new client reporting solutions are launched

  • Work collaboratively with Analytics, Engineering, Business Product Owners (BPOs) and Technology Product Owners (TPOs) to ensure clear requirements of the stakeholder/ end user are represented end-to-end

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, informatics, or similar is strongly desired

  • 5+ years' experience performing data analysis and/ or report design is required

  • 5+ years' experience in producingdata dictionaries content is desired

  • 1-2 years' experience working with data tools such as SQL, Python, and Tableau is required

  • 1-2 years' experience with data reconciliation and root cause analysis is required

  • Experience with data management/ governance tools like Collibra, Alation, Informatica is strongly desired

  • Ability to analyze large datasets is required

  • Experience documenting/presenting data analysis findings is required

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills are required

  • Strong analytical skills are required

  • Experience and working knowledge of data in a healthcare data management environment is desired

  • Ability to work in ambiguity and problem solve is strongly desired

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 100,600 - 167,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
